So what is stress?
Doctors and the biomedical researchers use this word ‘stress’ in many different ways from working the body a little harder to get more muscle development, to the bodily reaction in times of danger, which is really fear, all the way to an undefined or nebulous type of stress that they claim is the result of having a disease. And some of their language is deceptive, irrespective of whether it is deliberate or not. For instance they talk about a stress response or the body’s response to stress. Perhaps what they really mean is the body’s response to a stressor. But even that is not true; As stressors they cite tigers and lions from prehistoric days when we lived in caves. But lions and tigers are not “stressors”. They only pose danger if they have their sights on you as a meal, so they really only cause fear, which means the body is moved to work harder. Snakes and tiger and what have you do not cause stress and it is wrong to even call them stressors. They also claim that the fight or flight response is some relic from the evolutionary past and that it can go haywire in the present. This too is not true. Danger in many forms is all around us. We don’t live in leafy jungles anymore, but we live in concrete jungles instead. Concrete jungles are more dangerous because people rather than the tigers and lions pose danger. The former might chase you if you get in their road and their hungry but the latter use guns and sometime high powered arsenal to fire on you and your loved ones at the movies for instance where you would expect to be safe. Humans with guns do far more damage than any lion or tiger would even if they ate a single prey. So the idea that the so-called stress response is an evolutionary leftover is rubbish.
Stress is acknowledged in that famous list from public speaking to moving house to the dying of a loved one and so on. And they note that one person may move house and be on top of the world while another develops cancer and dies in their beautiful new house in a matter of months. What’s the score? You may well ask. The truth is that none of these things of themselves cause stress. They may cause a variety of emotions but not stress. The truth is that there is no mechanism from prehistoric times that is useless today and which can just malfunction. All of the items on the list are times when other people can become involved in a person’s life and if those other people are toxic then they may play cheats. The unsuspecting person who becomes stressed isn’t suffering a brain malfunction but suffering as a result of cheats. Knowing the cheats and how to protect one’s self is the key to overcoming stress, minimizing stress and not even suffering any stress at all. Certainly one can overcome stress to such a degree as to reduce their risk of disease to ZERO!
Doctors know full well that about 90% of “the business” that walks into their rooms looking for help are stressed people but what they don’t want to acknowledge is that stress is the disease. Having a disease in almost all cases means the symptoms of stress have moved from being transient to being stable. Once the symptoms are enduring they are called “clinical symptoms”. So it is not that “you’ve got a disease that’s why you’re stress” but the other way around. “You’re stressed that’s why you’ve got a disease”.
All of these different and elusive ways of using the word stress just muddies the waters and confuses people as to the true nature of stress, so it is important to be clear about what we mean by stress when we talk about a person being stressed and particularly when the stress has developed into a disease.
When a person is stressed two set of circumstances are involved.
The first set of circumstances is the occurrence of ideas and associated bodily reactivity.
So we have:-
- ideas in mind that have been treated as valid and applicable. These ideas then act as directives to the body. The most basic idea and underlying idea is the perception of danger.
- associated reactivity in the body is mainly in the form of emotions but may also involve coping habits and comfort zones, which I will discuss in the section on panic states. The reactivity in the body creates conflicts and/or over-exerts major organs, such as the heart and lungs. So we have the changes to body function, which arises with these ideas, causing dysfunction of organs and organ systems. As I will discuss later on, but I will mention here anxiety, which is a mix of fear and worry. These two emotions arise from two different though concurrent ideas. The fear arises from the idea of danger and the worry from a query which leads to further rumination. These create conflicting conditions in the body, particularly for the heart.
The second set of circumstances arises when conflicting and/ or overloading conditions apply over time. The person perceives more and more dysfunction of their body but is ignorant of its true cause and nature. Added to that is the medical misinformation, as for instance that all ideas are manufactured by your brain and are all “just in your head”. Within the darkness of ignorance and misled by the medicos the person targeted by a toxic mob has no real course of action. In desperation they will seek a comfort zone to overcome the problem. This remedy may take one or two forms. One is the use of ideas of denial. This results in more reactivity in the body, which as I mentioned I will discuss later. The other is the use of some form of self medication. The most common forms of self medication include eating something, using substances such as alcohol or drugs (both legal and illegal), sex, self-harming, gambling and shopping. Where there is mild to moderate stress, much of this may remedy the problem for a time. However where there is serious stress some of these methods may dangerously adds to their woes.
So we can say that
stress is a mounting problem of bodily dysfunction, which is not resolvable without knowledge of the cheats and how to deal with the situation.
When a person is stressed over time or the stress has reached serious levels even over a short time the symptoms become enduring or what are know medically as “clinical symptoms”. With clinical symptoms the stress is called a disease. The person will need “medial help” if they are ignorant of the problem. However if they only get sick they are not badly off, because far more serious, consequences can develop and develop quickly when stress reaches a critical level suddenly. Stress in an unsuspecting person (that is a person who is ignorant of the cheats) can kill! Understanding the cheats means that even if you are ignorant of some ideas because some of them may be unconscious, you will still be able to address the problem and avoid disease and an untimely death. Without such knowledge and know-how, all of a person’s effort to cope only makes their situation worse. Anxiety and panic states are two of the more extreme conditions of simple stress, while diseases like cancer and strokes are extreme conditions of complex stress.
Thus you can see that talking about
- your response to stress,
- managing your stress,
- not allowing your stress to get out of control and
- eating various foods or doing various exercises to eliminate stress etc.,
is all a load of garbage. How do you respond to stress when stress is your response? How do you manage stress? How does a person not allow their stress to get out of control? Both simple stress and complex stress can be eliminated BUT only with knowledge about how and why stress arises, the nature of stress and what to do to respond in a way that is not stress. Knowledge helps you avoid disease and safeguard your life. But even if you do fall ill, it will be mild and you can direct your body (using mental prescriptions) to do the job of cleaning up.. for free! You don’t need medical help and have to take drugs and /or undergo medical procedures; in short with knowledge of the cheats you can get well again easily and without the need of doctors!
The bottom line is that without knowledge of the cheats there is nothing that a person can do or not do to overcome the problem of stress and disease. They are forced to look to others, to seek medical help, which may be more harmful than the disease.
Knowledge is king!
Knowledge protects your life and the life of your loved ones.
At the most basic level the subject of stress and disease raises the subject of personal self. And this has NAUGHT to do with psychology. Psychology and psychiatry do not have a theory of mind nor do they properly address the subject of ego or personal self. The personal self is that which is targeted by the toxic mobs. Toxic people cannot affect the body directly. They can only use ideas to move the person and by “moving the person” is to cause reactivity in the body. The question is “who is stressed”? This question is associated to the question of “who am I”. The latter question is the one that leads to a spiritual quest, while the former leads to a spiritual quest via the road of overcoming disease and arriving at the station of being able to maintain good health. First I will say this. Stress and disease are not needed to gain good health nor are they a necessary part of a spiritual quest. All of the claims, including:
- God testing you,
- God’s punishment,
- the devil tempting you,
- disease needed to teach you a lesson,
- disease is an escape mechanism,
- disease is a cleansing / cathartic road,
- disease is a coping mechanism
and much, much more as one hears, are all GARBAGE!
You do not need stress and disease in your life! God doesn’t stress you or make you have diseases, for any reason whatsoever. God doesn’t need to test you as God is omniscient and knows every last detail, every last thought that you think. True it is that enlightenment is not attained or attainable by anything that you do or don’t do. It is given, by Grace! However this is not a matter of testing you but a matter of your effort in becoming more ethical in your relationships with others, in your fight against injustices and in the purity of heart that you strive to attain. Stress and disease are all about injustices and evil people (and I include greedy people as evil. If you aid and abet evil, then you’re evil.). If you have stress and /or disease however, you have an opportunity to make observations that will aid you in both gaining and maintaining, effortlessly, good health and a longer good quality life AND assist you in a spiritual quest if you are interested in such a quest.
The first thing to note is that a “person” talks about being stressed. Yes, we do sometimes hear people say “my body is stressed” but that is rare. We talk in terms of “I am stressed” or “she/he is stressed”. That is we identify the personal self as the entity that is stressed. So we can ask “what is the personal self and how is it stressed”? As a first step it is important to discover the nature of personal self by using meditation. There are many types of meditation and they don’t all have the same aims. Meditation involves awareness and there are two levels of awareness. One is the awareness as a part of experience and the other is awareness of being aware. The first type of awareness is tied to the personal self while ever personal self holds importance and at the centre of experience. The awareness of being aware is at the core of being. Being is other than the personal self. We might call it the essence or spirit. The aim is to rise to the level of awareness of being aware, which means to the level of spirit. So the aim is not to have your ego-self or personal self as the agent of observation but as the object of observation. You can’t do this by doing anything because everything you do involves personal self as the doer. You arrive at this station indirectly. This is the miracle of mindfulness. This is entering into the silence.
To arrive at this higher level of awareness first make it a habit of doing the more mundane things like washing hands, bathing, using the toilet, walking and eating etc., consciously. Aim to be aware of your actions as you do them. Be the witness of your actions, of your experiences. For example observe your hand as you reach to open the tap, feel the cold hard slippery feel of the metal, feel the pressure as you exert force to turn the tap on. Then experience the water on your hands and be aware of the lather as you wash your hands. Be aware of the feel of the towel on your hands as you dry them and so on. People tend to do these actions mindlessly as chores that just have to be done. So from the moment they open the tap to the time they dry their hands they are preoccupied and have not been present. They have missed time. Be present with your actions. You got to do them anyway. It doesn’t take any extra time. It only takes a commitment to awareness. As you do your actions consciously you will gradually begin to become more and more aware of being aware. This is the awareness of you, the awareness of personal self. This is very subtle at first. There is awareness of thoughts rather than awareness of “having thoughts”. There is awareness of the corresponding reactivity in the body rather than your feelings. The experience is very subtle and may comes on gently as it matures but it can also be abrupt. Don’t have expectations. Instead begin a to do you actions mindfully, even for a few minutes two or three times a day at the start, that is enough. Then this meditation can assist you with the work of discovering personal self while overcoming the cheats.
To overcoming a simple “empower thought” cheat you need to at least appreciate what it is to enter into the silence. This is a good health exercise to do since it is the basis of all cheats, the lynchpin. The “empowered thought” underlies all the major diseases in the vast variety of forms that it can be used. It aims either to make you think that you have a thought which is somehow real and meaningful. It makes a lame thought appear to be a belief and as something that could happen to you or even is happening to you. It is about creating belief out of thin air, the rabbit out of the hat trick. Ideas are presented under conditions of danger that create fear, which is a person’s normal reaction to danger. The danger idea is not clear partly because the source of the danger is someone entangled with you who is not making themselves obvious (ie not addressing you mentally but only going through some actions) and partly because the ideas that are presented gain more attention. The ideas that are presented simultaneously are presented by someone very strongly entangled with you. Thus the conscious segments are the ideas and the fear which is feelings or reactivity in the body. As the danger idea is not perceived consciously the fear may be mistaken by someone unsuspecting of the cheats as the effect of the presented and really unassociated ideas.
The error a person makes in associating the fear with the idea is not just a matter of what is conscious and what not. People look to emotion as evidence of an idea being true, or well-founded and applicable. This is fair assessment under ordinary circumstances because ideas do create emotion. Emotion is rational bodily reactivity, the reason being that some job needs to be done in or by the body. Reason can apply whether or not the ideas are considered each time on their merit. For instance the idea of danger is a perception. We don’t start reasoning “there is danger and I am mortal and my body can be injured so I had better power up and run away or fight if I have to.” This is surely the reason for the fear or bodily power up but it applies automatically. This does not stop it from being reason. If we were to go down the road of “oh there was no thinking and thus no reason, which calls emotion the antithesis to reason, then the heart function is also irrational and so is all of body functions because we don’t analyse and reason and use logic and think each time for the heart to function or any other part of the body. Body organs function without our thinking it through each time but it is not without reason. Emotion is the result of reason. So we rightfully assume that if there is an idea and what appears as associated emotion then the idea must have some value. There must be reason why the emotion arises. Emotion then is the evidence that the idea pointed to something that needed to be addressed. This is what is really being exploited by the “empower thought” cheat. The cheaters provide emotion coincident with the idea. Thus the person ends up with strong emotion and an idea that happen at the same time and to an unsuspecting person it can be extremely convincing. It makes the unsuspecting person want to take that it as reasonable without a second thought. Of course once you know the cheat this can’t be effective anymore. You see the idea and the fear but you don’t fall into the trap of considering the idea as reasonable. When you see the cheat for what it is then you can well understand how a person can be cheated when in ignorance of what is done.
I will labour the point here because it is of enormous significance to understand what is done. There are two ways the cheat can work. One cheat uses people who are weakly and strongly entangled with the victim, in which case the strongly entangled person doesn’t have to be in the same place as the victim. This is the case in most panic attacks. The spouse or whoever is the chief offender may be at home or at work or even out of town. It does not matter the place but it does matter that they know precisely what the targeted person is doing and where they are and very importantly when the danger is posed. They must know when the person feels fear and know it precisely otherwise they are not going to have any effect. This information of course is provided by phone most often by the trivially entangled criminals that are there to pose danger. And they use language that does not set off alarm bells. So they may say “we’re on location” or “it’s in place”.
In this case the danger idea presented is empowered by the presence of criminals who have been weakly entangled with the victim on some previous occasion. They pose danger by their actions and not in addressing the targeted person directly. Thus coming into the victim’s vicinity armed and with ill intent and the agreement to do harm if given a go-ahead. The threatening idea on the other hand that of “something terrible can happen” is then made by the chief offender. This idea is not the cause of fear. It is artificially empowered by having criminals in the vicinity who pose danger. The woman perceives the danger but the perception, another idea, is too weak to be conscious because it is not a direct address.
The alternative cheat is to have both parties weakly entangled. This only works if they are visible and interactive.
In the case of the policeman and the stranger we have two people interacting, who have never met before. They acquire ESP because through their interaction they become entangled or to use common language we say they relate. By virtue of their entanglement they will acquire strong enough ESP between them that ideas which are relevant or appear relevant to each other will be perceived. The thoughts that have been presented to them, and which they perceive consciously, will then be perceived by each other consciously. It makes it very difficult for them to know if the thoughts are the other’s intent or not. So they become aware of ideas that seem to hold reality because they seem to be underpinned by fear. Indeed that fear in both cases is artificially created through the ill intentions of others not obviously on the scene.
The empowered idea is very common in people’s lives. What we believe to be our private world, that is our mental world, is not as private as we are led to believe. Everyone who has had a disease or ailment, whether mental or physical or who has become over or underweight or who has suffered or suffers from addictions is a victim of empowered thoughts or ideas. The ideas become so convincing and often appear as logical that they need to be experienced first hand by anyone investigating these matter to be appreciated. The effect can be extremely strong for the person who is completely unaware of what is being played out. Even someone who knows the cheat may become angry with the intrusion into their mental world. The “mine your dogs” cheat is a typical example and the easiest to penetrate. Let us say that in this example the two parties are neighbours and the meeting is an obvious even. The threatening neighbour will have brought her dogs onto the targeted person’s turf. He or she would have stepped on or stood on the edge of the boundary, on the targeted neighbour’s land, at least momentarily. Here the cheater is in direct presence of the target. And of course the target is threatened with real danger so they feel fear.
It is difficult but if you overcome the cheat even once it will be of great value to you. To do that you need to dismiss the thought. When you know or even only suspect the cheat, you know that the idea is only a presentation and based only on hate. It neither holds nor points to a reality. If you have reached the level of entering the silence in your daily meditation then with a little effort you will succeed. In the short few seconds after you succeed there is the experience of a sudden emptiness, like an empty space, like someone’s just made an exit. In that second or two the experiencer is gone. It is not qualia anymore. Only experiencing remains and part of that will be the reactivity in the body.. the fear. At once the personal self returns and the emptiness is gone again as you become tempted to say “well the thought must have been true because I can still feel the fear”. But consider if the thought caused the fear then by dismissing it the fear should be gone. If the fear is still there then the fear must be caused by something else! This is the ah ha experience.
Where you suspected before, you now suddenly realize that the idea is not based on anything and can be dismissed because nothing changes in the body. To give you an example to appreciate this more consider the situation where the idea and the fear were really related. If you saw a shape on the ground amid the grass in a garden that looks like a snake your body will immediately respond with fear. But if you suddenly realize it is just a garden hose with a fancy pattern on it, then you have immediately dismissed the idea of a snake and possible danger. As soon as you dismiss the idea the fear goes away and you feel relief because your body returns to rest. If however you dismiss an idea that you thought was associated with the fear you were feeling and the fear is still there, then the fear is due to something else. The cheat is about two separate events conducted as to appear at the same time. They are not connected, they just seem to be connected because they are coincident and because the ideas depicting the source of the danger are not conscious, only the fear is consciously experienced.
For those interested in a spiritual quest, this sudden experience of emptiness or what might be described as “no one at home” or “the temple is empty”, is significant. It may normally come after many hours of meditation, indeed months or years for most people. Thus here it is an opportunity, an unwelcomed one but nonetheless an opportunity. The disappearance of the personal self is the first station on the road to enlightenment. It is rather like having been engrossed watching a movie on a screen before you when suddenly the film runs out and the projector is still running. There is only brightness on the screen and nothing else. The experiencer of the movie and the object of experience, the movie have disappeared and only experiencing remains. Many people mistake this for enlightenment but it is very far from enlightenment or what in Christian terms is called Grace or in the Greek Orthodox tradition is called apotheosis.
What you will have realized in this exercise is that the experiencer requires ideas linked to bodily reactivity, most commonly emotion. Without the idea the bodily reactivity is just experience. Without the bodily reactivity the idea is empty and may pop out of mind but whether it does or not it is of no value and hence gives rise to no reactivity. The experiencer or personal self depends on there being an object of experience. An idea that is tied to bodily reactivity, whether genuine or a trick, creates the illusion of a subject and object pair and hence an identity, an experiencer experiencing something. It is really the erroneous identification of being or true self with the activities of mind or probably better to say with the activities of body-mind. In the short time when the idea is dismissed and only the fear reactivity in the body remains, this identity or identification disappears. No subject, no object is there, no experiencer experiencing something, only experiencing remains. This is really a glimpse of ‘being’, that which sits behind the appearances.. The appearances are the physical / mind, which are really the one reality. The identification shifts from personal self to being. When this shift is deep enough, then the personal self or ego no longer holds centre stage. And I might also add here that the possibility for this process really requires for the person to be non-toxic because only a toxic person has true autonomy. I will explain that later.
There are enormous health benefits here, as well as the ability to fight against evil people and to make spiritual progress. And of course these are all linked. For more than a decade now evil people have waged war against me for exposing their practices and in that time I have seen that they can only attack a personal self. They do not perceive ‘being’ and certainly it is out of their realm to attack it. As you will see in the discussion on anxiety and panic states and much more so in the discussion on cancer, it is the personal self that is affected. Personal self is an aggregate of ideas and associated or seemingly associated bodily reactivity and that aggregate is added to or subtracted from with each and every experience. Where there is an attack by a toxic mob, then the ideas that are added to the aggregate involve the people who are involved in the attack. Such attacks are what most people attribute to mental attacks. At the same time the medical establishment does not recognize mental attacks.
Mental attacks and the aggregate that is personal self is very significant in all diseases and most particularly in diseases such as cancer because if the personal self no longer holds centre stage then the whole thing becomes a theatre and one that can be “stage-managed”. In short you don’t develop cancers or if you do you can quickly and easily reverse the processes involved by manipulating the ideas and hence the associated bodily reactivity. Cancer is only reactivity to ideas that cause extraordinary immune responses in the body. Indeed a cancer is just an immune organ that is assembled and which the body again disassembles when the need for its existence is no longer perceived. This is all that spontaneous remission is about. It is as easy as 1, 2, 3! It is easy once you appreciate the “empowered thought or idea”. Cancer is just a paper tiger. Other diseases too become very easy to eliminate. I have of late experimented with the conditions that are attributed to diabetes, namely high sugar intake and the real critical condition that leads to diabetes (which the doctors don’t discuss) and that is episodic anger. I have had occasion, owing to attacks made on me, to “stage-manage” my bodily responses. It is not possible to anger yourself but if there are other trying to violate you then there is an opportunity available. I have allowed myself to get angry with the violations that are episodically made. (note: I say allowed myself because I am in a war and in a war a warrior is faced with injustice so to point at the enemy and say that’s not fair is laughable. I am fighting for Justice so it is ludicrous to get angry with the enemy. Once that position is realized one can arrest anger completely.) At the same time I increased my sugar intake to a very high level to load up my system even more. So I have been able to test my method under the worst possible conditions and this experiment has gone on for some months now and NO diabetes. So I have been able to prove to myself once more that it is possible to stage-manage one’s bodily reactivity purely by the use of formulated ideas, a mental prescription. However to be able to formulate and use mental prescriptions one has to have realized that the ideas that are presented are a hoax, a deception and have had glimpsed the no-self experience.
To complete this section I would like to add that ideas can be presented under danger/fear conditions to affect others under your charge such as children, elderly, disabled and sick people. In these situations you are essentially a gate-keeper. So for instance children can be affected and seriously affected by a toxic mob by affecting the parent. Cancer in children is caused by affecting a parent in ways that the parent has no clue because, as I mentioned earlier, the presented ideas can be images and no only words, typically in the form of a direct address made mentally. The latter is conscious perceived whereas the images for most people remain unconscious. It takes a great deal of practice in being more highly perceptive to bring images to consciousness. These images are most often extremely vile so the person is actively blocking them out; Thus getting rid of comfort zones, which are essentially creating mental fuzz, is imperative. I will discuss coping habits and comfort zones in association with panic attacks and heart disease.
In the example shown in the illustration above the image of a child throwing a temper tantrum is not conscious but the words that would appear as her logical reaction are conscious. The child is affected by an image idea. This can only be done by when the mother is made fearful and angry (because this is a violations), so that she is no longer at rest conditions. When her body and particularly her heart becomes hyperactive, the bond with her child, which is wholly mental is broken and the child feels distress when it cannot connect mentally with his or her parent. This is essentially the condition of abandonment. And it is important to note that the woman is not at fault. She cannot understand the problem nor rectify it if she is unaware of and has no knowledge of the cheats. And yet its effect is every bit as bad as the woman who deliberately neglects her child.
Knowledge provides the answer without the use of drugs, either for herself or her child. And again, while both toxic and non-toxic can be affected, it is the non-toxic that has the best chance and I would say the only one with the ability to rectify the situation naturally.
In the next section I will discuss the biology of the more serious stress, namely of anxiety and panic states.
